The Shelter offers young homeless people aged 16 to 24 years old nine nights of emergency accomodation. The Shelter can accommodate upto five young people each with individual rooms for privacy and safety. During the nine nights residents will be given advice and support to help find more appropiate accommodation.
The following facilities are all provided for each resident: Bathroom with toilet, Shower room with toilet both modified for disabled access, washing machine and tumble dryer, communal lounge with TV, kitchen facilities with food and drink provided free, bedding sheets/pillows, towels and toiletries
The Shelter is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year, from 5pm to 10am the following morning, residents are required to vacate the premises between 10am and 5pm. Meals and washing facilities are provided free of charge plus they will have free use of the facilities in the Platform 5 day centre.
