Nightsafe's Witton Project is a medium stay supported housing project for upto four homeless young people aged 16 to 18 years old who are in need of support to gain the skills and confidence to move on into independent living.
Witton Project is based in a large terraced house close to Wittton Park. It is situated in easy walking distance to the town centre and also has easy access to public transport.
Each young person is assigned a Support Worker who will look at their needs & aspirations then produce an action plan to help them achieve their goals.
Young people are encouraged to participate in the running of the Hostel through residents meetings, carrying out Health & Safety checks and risk assesments etc. Young people have raised money for new furnishings and have been involved in projects to re-decorate the house and garden.
Referrals can be made through Blackburn with Darwen's Housing Needs team. Please contact the main Nightsafe office if you have any questions.
